LOVE

Happy Valentine's Day!

While I am not a fan of forced expressions of love, I do enjoy showing my friends and family how much I love and care about them. I tell myself every year that I am NOT going to go all out.... then somehow in the excitement of everything, I forget all about my little pep talk. This year is no exception.

These are valentines that the kids sent to their grandparents...I hope they have all gotten them by now....or else I just blew the surprise!

For Bostyn's class party, we made each kid an Ipod. I was inspired by these. They had their party on Friday and Bossy got a ton of compliments. Everyone thought these were just the coolest! We bagged each Ipod up and attached a little sticker that said, "YOU ROCK! Happy Valentine's Day!"

Bailee only had a handful of friends that she decided to give treats to, so we went a little more labor intensive. We decided to do marshmallow pops!

These are super delicious. We dipped jumbo marshmallows in red and pink candy melts. Then we dipped some more in chocolate. Then we dipped some MORE in caramel. THEN we rolled them in toffee, sprinkles, rice krispies and graham crackers.

The winning pops were dipped in caramel, then chocolate, then rolled in a mix of rice krispies AND toffee. I am drooling right now just thinking about them. It's ok to eat these for lunch right? With a glass of milk of course.

We put a few pops in a little bucket filled with kisses.

All bagged up and ready to go!

For Bailee's best friend, I made her an owl necklace and made a cute little box to put it in. This super cute box used to be a matchbox!

Happy Valentine's Day to all my friends and family! I hope you have a wonderful day and have plenty of sweet treats!

Check back tomorrow for one more Valentine's Day post! I'll show you what I have in store for Jake and the kids!

look how crafty you are! So cute! I tell myself that these are the kinds of things our kids will remember so might as well do the cute things while they still like it, right? :) I may have to borrow some of your ideas!
