Cutie Pies

My three little cutie pies....

Honored

Bailee brought home her report card yesterday with a bumper sticker confirming that she made the honor roll! We are so proud of Bailee. She works and studies very hard and she absolutely deserves to be on the honor roll.

Way to go Bai!!!

Whack Job

All three of us girls recently got haircuts, but only one of us truly got whacked. Here are the before and after pictures of Bailee's haircut.

She does look a lot more grown up with the shorter hair. Very cute.

Miller Time

Sunday we went out to Uncle Mike's farm to celebrate Chuck (Jake's dad) and Nancy's (Jake's aunt) birthdays. I was asked to bring cakes, so I made a vanilla cake with raspberry cream cheese frosting and a chocolate/chocolate cake. Of course I also made my famous cake toppers. I made a cowboy with a bottle of moonshine for Chuck and a nurse for Nancy. They both turned out terrific. I spent several days testing out new methods to get the clay faces just right.

I think they turned out just great.

The party was a lot of fun. But then it's always fun when it's Miller Time.

Announcement

I have been waiting for it to become official and today is announcement day! We are finally moving up to Maryland. We have decided to rent a house in Dickerson. Jake is going to be staying there a few days a week and we will all officially move in after the school year ends, sometime mid June. We are really excited!

Boating on the Potomac

Wednesday, Jake took the day off and we launched the boat. We had to wait for high tide, something we are definitely not accustomed to after boating in Utah. So, around 2:00 we finally were able to take the boat out.

It was a beautiful day, but no one was ready to tube or ski. We found a little cove and daddy showed us how to find shark teeth. By the time we were done, we found over 3 dozen!

Mom, in front of the camera for a change.

Coming back with the sunset.....what a beautiful day.

Easter Fun

Easter was a lot of fun for the Miller Five. We went to Grandma and Grandpa Miller's for all the fun.

During dinner on Saturday, Grandpa Chuck jumped up and ran outside. None of us were sure what he was doing until we realized a helicopter was landing in the backyard. It was a friend of Chuck's and he was there to get some whiskey. After he was done with his purchase and his tour, he offered a ride to anyone interested. Bailee and I immediately stepped forward. Chuck and Jeanette came too. It was a really fun ride and exciting to see everything from a different perspective.

After the excitement of the helicopter ride, we got down to the egg dyeing business. We set up shop on the back porch and dyed six dozen eggs!

Sunday morning we got up early and went to church. Everyone got new church clothes (including mom and dad), but after church, everyone changed so fast I wasn't able to get a picture!

After church mom and dad hid eggs while the kids waited inside. The kids had a blast finding all the eggs. Even Hayden got in on the fun.

We all had a great Easter. We can't wait until next year, when Hayden might have a better idea as to what the whole egg hunt thing is about.
