July 4th Fun

July Fourth was so much fun. Our town wasn't having a parade, so we went across the river, back to Virginia and found one. It was at 2:00 in the afternoon, and the sun was blazing. We were lucky to find a shady spot.

Handsome boys!

Cute girls!

God Bless America!

I gave up my tee time for this?

The parade was a blast, but we were dying from the heat. After a quick ice cream at McDonald's, we went home for dinner and to wait for the fireworks. The show that our town put on was AWESOME!!

Gotta love the pictures that kids take!

Monday we decided to hike Sugarloaf Mountain. The heat was stifling and the humidity was high, but the view was well worth it.

All in all, this was a wonderful holiday weekend. God Bless America and all the troops that sacrifice to protect it.

OK. So you have been updating. :) Looks like you're having fun & staying busy. My uncle lived in Baltimore for awhile & we got to visit him there. That humidity is a killer! But cool to be close to so many historic sites, including DC.
