Fun-filled Weekend

We had a burst of cool weather here in Utah this past weekend, so we decided to make the most of it. On Friday night, we had a picnic at Barker Park. It was Hayden's first introduction to grass. Unlike the girls when they were babies, Hayden loved it! We ate cookies and milk and enjoyed the sunset and then some star-gazing.

I love my handsome boys!

Saturday morning we headed to Big Cottonwood Canyon to hike Donut Falls. We have been invited several times, but were never able to make it. I am so glad we finally made the trip down to do it, because the hike is gorgeous and the waterfall at the end is beautiful.

Here is the "donut."

Saturday night we headed to the Weber County Fair for some crash 'em up smash 'em up! We LOVE the Demolition Derby. We were a little nervous as to how Hayden would react, but as you can see from the picture, it didn't seem to faze him much. Maybe he is used to my driving?

Check out car number 15. This is the before picture......

......And after! You'd never guess it used to be a station wagon.

Sunday we headed to Park City for the Park Silly Sunday Market. They call it a Farmer's Market, but out of the 200 booths, only 2 were selling vegetables. Uppity Park City, go figure.

There was a street artist painting faces for free. Best face painting I have ever seen!

Okay, seriously....the shirt says it all.... (if you can't read it, it says "The Happy Moose")

After a weekend like that, you hate to see Monday come. We all had so much fun. There is nothing in the world better than spending time together as a family. I am so lucky to have such a great bunch.
