Maryland has a new program that allows health inspectors to randomly come to your home and inspect the contents of your refrigerator. We have been visited several times by one specific health inspector. He loves to make surprise visits. Like when.....
I think I need to voice my concern to the governor about this new program. It's not going so well for me.

Kid's Day
On Saturday, we had no plans, so we headed to Brookside Gardens in Silver Spring, MD. They were having a huge celebration with all kinds of activities for the kids. The price was right too....FREE!
18 months
On Thursday, Hayden went in for his 18 month check up. He weighs in at a healthy 26.4 pounds and towers over most kids his age at 35 inches. He is in the 97 percentile for height and 56 percentile for weight. Hayden is perfectly healthy and has almost outgrown his crib! We sure love this little guy!

Ocean City
This weekend we were spontaneous and drove down to the beach. We left Saturday evening after a super fun baby shower for Jake's cousin. We arrived in Ocean City around 10pm only to find that the hotel "lost" our reservation. With nearly a hundred hotels to choose from, we picked one at random and were able to score the last room. Things only got better from there....the new hotel had an indoor and outdoor pool, baby pool, beach access, indoor ice skating rink, game room AND was a lot LESS money than the hotel we had booked! After a good night's sleep, we got up bright and early Sunday morning and headed out to the beach.

Ice skating
Unfortunately my camera battery died Sunday afternoon and I wasn't able to get pictures of the rest of our adventure. We ice skated, mini golfed, ate pizza, walked the boardwalk and the pier, went to Ripley's Believe It or Not! museum, walked the boardwalk again, ate some famous Thrasher's fries, got candy at the famous Candy Kitchen and finally headed home. It was a quick trip, but tons of fun!
