China

The Great Wall

The Forbidden City

I can hear you asking...."What are these pictures of China doing on her blog?"

GOOD QUESTION!

Next March, Bailee is headed to CHINA!!

She'll be going with a group from school and we are all super excited!

Bailee will be flying from DC to Detroit, then on to Beijing. They will spend 3 days in Beijing, then fly to Xi'an. After spending 2 days in Xi'an, they will then fly over to Shanghai. They'll spend 3 days in Shanghai and then fly home.

While in China, Bailee will get to visit the Great Wall, experience a Taiji lesson,
ride a bike on the ancient City Wall, take a dragon boat ride, visit the Forbidden City, visit Tiananmen Square, experience a local school, visit the Temple of Heaven Park, see the Terracotta Warriors, and dine with a Chinese family.

This will be the trip of a lifetime.

A BIG
HUGE thank you to Grandma Tammy and Grandpa Jim,
for helping us make this dream trip a reality!!

Teach Me

This what happens when Hayden gets impatient.

He is all about independence.

Gotta love it.

Hayden was so successful with potty training, that I decided to start teaching some fundamentals.

Last week we worked on the color green, letter G and number 5.

We had a platter of green snacks.......

....colored a number 5 and traced the letter G......

...and we wore our green shirts.....and had green lips.

Hayden did really well. He is working on identifying the color green, but can count to 10 all by himself. He'll be Harvard material in no time.

Mother's Day

I know I am a little....ahem.....A LOT late, but it really isn't my fault! My computer died on Tuesday and it took a few days to get it up and running again.

Anyway, here are some pictures of our super fun Mother's Day activity. FISHING! We were really excited, because it was Hayden's first time. However, after catching 3 fish in a row, Hayden was bored. He entertained himself by climbing in and out of the car and tossing toys out the window. The rest of us had a blast though!

Headin' down to the pond....

First fish! Dad told him to touch it. Sooo not going to happen!

What a cute........fish!

Trust me, it was way bigger in person. :)

Bostyn's big monster

Bailee was thrilled to go fishing....ha ha ha

Even Grandma and Grandpa joined in on the fun!

Could it get any more beautiful than this?

Photographic evidence of me touching a fish....HUGE accomplishment for me

Headin back to the house

We all had a wonderful day. It was a really fun Mother's Day. I am so lucky to have wonderful in-laws, an awesome husband and three amazing kids. What more could a girl ask for?
